Questions about Activities
There are so many things to do on land, on the sea and under the sea, its mind-boggling…check out some of the most asked questions here….
1. What activities/classes are available?
Apart from the water sports and SCUBA diving activities; our Activities staff do land sports, which include ALL LESSONS i.e., Golf (Introduction, Elementary and Intermediate), Fencing (Introduction and Intermediate), Volley Ball (beach and pool), Archery (Introduction and Intermediate), Tennis (Introduction and Intermediate). Also included in our Land sports are Morning walks, and Bike Rides. Our Activities Programme also consists of a number of holistic classes such as Hatha and Restorative Yoga, T’ai Chi, Meditation and Pilates. Our Fitness Classes include BodyTone, BodyBurn, BodyCircuit, Martial Fun and AquaFun. The scheduling of these classes is subject to change on a daily basis. 2. Can I book activities/classes before I arrive at BodyHoliday?
You do not need to book the activities in advance, as they are open to everybody. If you want to however, you can, through the services of The BodyHoliday Specialists.
3. How safe it is to swim in the sea?
The sea at BodyHoliday is safe to swim in. If at any point the sea gets too agitated, we put up a Red Flag. When the red flags are flying on the beach, this means that our water sports staff considers the conditions to be dangerous. We would respectfully request that you do not go into the sea if the flags are up.
4. Is it alright to leave my personal effects on the beach?
Please remember that the beach is public, and so we recommend that personal belongings should not be left unattended.
5. Is diving included in the all-inclusive rate?
Day time beach dives are included but boat dives and night dive are not. Our scuba team can help you book diving excursions on the many reefs around the island.
6. Is the dive equipment included free of charge?
All equipment is provided however if you prefer you may bring your own. We do also hire out wet suits.
7. What happens if I’ve never dived before?
Persons who have had no diving experience are welcome to do the Introduction to Scuba class, which is 3 hours long. The class takes place Monday through Friday at 9:00 am. It entails watching a video, going out for practice in the pool after which, if you feel comfortable you go out into the ocean for a shallow dive – your first shore dive. You can also continue with one of two certification courses offers by the Hotel.
8. How long are the dives?
Area dives are long. Shore dives are 40 minutes.
9. Where do I dive while on holiday? Boat dives / shore?
Only day time beach dives are done here on property up to about 30ft in depth. Boat dives can be arranged at an extra cost. Snorkeling is done on property however if you want to visit the rest of the dive sites on the Island, we offer snorkel trips at an additional cost.
10. Do I have to book any water sports?
All inclusive water sports activities are done on a first come first serve basis. Supplemental activities have to be booked.
11. What type of engine does the boat have for water skiing?
We have a 200hp Mercury Outboard on a 18 foot triton ski boat.
12. What type of sailing equipment do you have?
We have 5 Hobie wave 13 foot sailboats and 1 Hobie Getaway 16 foot sailboat, 2 X-treme 26’s and 1 J24 sailing boat.
13. How much is the PADI Scuba Diver Course?
The PADI SCUBA Certification course takes up to 2 days to complete and dives are up to 40 ft. The cost is US$375.00. The PADI Open Water Certification course takes up to 3 days to complete and dives are up to 60 ft. The cost is US$550.
14. Do you offer night diving?
Night dives are offered twice weekly (weather permitting) at an additional charge of US$77. This charge includes use of equipment.
15. How often is the diving equipment inspected?
We maintain the highest standard of safety and cleanliness on all our equipment. The air tanks are visually inspected once a year and hydrostatically inspected every five years. They were last inspected in November 2016.
16. What is the temperature of the water?
The water temperature ranges from 75 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, 24 to 30 degrees Celsius throughout the year.
17. What is visibility like for diving?
Visibility ranges from 50 to 80 feet, 15 to 25 meters on most dives, to as much as 120 to 150 feet, 35 to 50 meters on exceptionally good days.
18. What is the min stay to complete the basic PADI course?
Basic PADI courses take 4 hours per day for three days.
19. Is snorkeling free?
Yes. Off shore snorkeling is.
20. What are the sizes of the sails and boards available?
4 meter – 6.3 meter sails / Boards, 305 – 335 cm.
21. Are there harnesses?
Yes.
22. How strong is the wind?
15-20 m.p.h. (on a good day).
23. What hours can I surf?
Anytime between 10am and 4:30pm.
24. Do I need to sign up in advance?
All inclusive activities are done on a first come first serve basis.
25. Do you have free weights?
Yes, dumb bells only – 5 lbs to 55 lbs.
26. Do you have a personal trainer?
We have a Gym Instructor / Personal Trainer, Julian Felix, on staff. He will work with you to design an exercise programme to help you achieve your personal fitness goals.
27. What type of cardio equipment do you have?
Treadmill Life Cycles, Bike, Step Master.
28. What kind of aerobic classes do you have?
We offer a range of Branded Aerobic classes: BodyTone, BodyBurn, BodyCircuit, BodyStretch, Martial Fun, Aqua Fun, Dance Fun, Absolution, Step This Way and On the Ball Golf
29. Where is the golf course and how do I get there?
The golf course is just two minutes away by taxi.
30. Is golf included in the cost of the holiday?
Pay for 9 holes at The St. Lucia Golf and Country Club and BodyHoliday will pay for an additional 9 holes.
31. What equipment do I need and can I hire equipment?
Golf clubs, balls and a cart/buggy, which can all, be rented at the Golf course.
The costs include:
Golf Clubs can be rented at a cost of US$ 20 for 9/18 holes
Golf Carts can be rented at a cost of US$ 35 per person for 9 or 18 (carts are mandatory)
Shoe rental US $10 for 9/18 holes
You can pre-book rounds of Golf prior to your arrival through The BodyHoliday Specialists.
32. What is the golf course like?
The course is a newly designed, fully irrigated 6829-yard par 71 championship golf course. For a closer look at the golf course, please visit www.stluciagolf.com.
33. What golf equipment is provided?
None, all must be rented at the Golf course.
34. What kind of golf attire is required?
Appropriate golfing attire is required. You may wear either shorts or trousers and polo shirts or shirts with collars. Proper golf shoes are also required. Golf shoes should have soft spikes or clubs, not metal ones and golf sneakers/trainers are allowed.
35. Where do the walks take place?
On the Island, through its forests to see some of the more scenic parts such as the Volcano and Gros Piton.
36. How do we get to the Soft Adventure Walks?
You are driven in Sports Utility Vehicles.
37. How much do the Soft Adventure walks cost?
Cost is US$150.00.
38. What attire is appropriate for walking?
You should wear comfortable clothing, hiking boots, or sneakers.
39. How long do the Soft Adventure walks last?
Walks are normally half day or whole day.
40. What sights are we likely to see?
Soufriere, The Sulphur Springs, Diamond Falls, The Pitons.
41. Do we need reservations for Soft Adventure walks?
Yes, sign-up at the Activities desk at least 48 hours in advance, (normally flexible) or with the BodyHoliday Specialists.
42. Do any of the tours involve overnight?
Yes. Turtle watching which normally happens from April to June.
43. Does the hotel or an outside agency run these tours?
The Hotel does run the tours.
44. If I have booked a tour, can I cancel it at any time?
Should the need arise where you need to cancel your tour this must be done at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled departure. You may cancel with the Activities Desk or Concierge to avoid the penalty charges that will accrue otherwise.
47. Is it important to bring my confirmation slip with me if I am going on tour?
Yes, you should bring your confirmation slip with you when proceeding on tour. You will need to give this to the Soft Adventure Coordinator before the tour leaves the resort.
Eating & Drinking Questions
Many people are under the impression that because we talk about health and well being a lot, we serve our customers carrot juice and lettuce all day. Nothing could be further from the truth. Do we serve healthy food-Yes. Do we give you advice on a balanced diet if you want it? -Yes…but we have guilty pleasures in abundance and you will find cocktails, good wines, juicy steaks and chocolate cake as well. This holiday is about choice and it’s about a question of balance not abstinence.
1. What can I expect on the breakfast and lunch menus?
The following applies to Cariblue Restaurant.
Breakfast (7:30 am – 10:30 am)
– Buffet 7 days a week (Local & International Cuisine)
– Live egg station feature (Your choice of omelette, poached egg, etc)
– English breakfast
– Danish pastries
– Cereals
– Fresh juices
– Fresh fruits, featuring local fruits from the island
Lunch (12:30 pm – 2:30 pm)
– Buffet 7 days a week
– Different themes everyday (Mexican, Indian, Mediterranean, Far Eastern, Caribbean)
Dinner (7:30 pm – 9:30 pm)
– A la Carte menu 6 nights a week (International cuisine with a local touch)
– Wednesday night Caribbean Buffet Night
– Most wines are included (However, some supplemental charges apply)
2. Is all the food focused around a healthier lifestyle is there a “non healthy” choice available?
Both options are available. All the restaurants serve items that can fit your special requirements. We also cater for vegetarians and those with special dietary needs. “Eat Well” denotes healthier choices.
3. What is the dress code for the restaurants?
Throughout your stay here with us we ask that you look presentable within the meal areas. Breakfast and lunch and also dinner in the clubhouse are all casual affairs, but we do ask that men wear shirts and women a sarong or wrap over their bathing suits. For dinner, the Cariblue restaurant and Cariblue Windows dress code is elegantly casual (i.e. no shorts, tee-shirts, slippers etc.). As for the dress code at TAO – your holiday finest!
4. Can you cater to special dietary requirements?
Yes, we can assess your specific needs and will establish a meal plan for your stay with us. You should liaise with our chef via our BodyHoliday Specialist through your web room before arrival. Alternatively, upon arrival at The BodyHoliday, you can speak to the chef.
5. How many bars do you have in the Hotel?
There are two bars at BodyHoliday.
The Clubhouse bar
Located in our Clubhouse, close to the beach with all day long drinks served directly at the bar and/or brought to you on the beach by our waiters. Open 9 am until 12:00am daily. Dress code is smart casual.
The Piano Bar
Located in the main building by the Cariblue restaurant. This is where you will be enjoying aperitifs before dinner all in a musical ambiance with our pianist. After dinner the piano bar is open until the last person leaves the bar – it is your call on how long the evening will stretch out. Open daily from 7:00 pm. Smoking is not allowed in the bar but you can smoke just outside in the Italian Courtyard. Dress code: Casual.
6. What types of bar cocktails are offered?
We feature both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. To mention a few of the favourites: The Frozen Piton Flyer, BodyHoliday Crush and Rising Sun.
Wellness Questions
Because the body treatments are such a major part of the experience, there are usually a bunch of questions. Here is a selection of the most popular.
1. How do I arrange my spa appointments at the Wellness Centre?
Your BodyHoliday includes a complete programme of health and well being, which will include a number of pampering, and rejuvenating body treatments. In order to ensure that all guests have treatments scheduled, the Wellness Centre team will have prepared these schedules prior to your arrival.
2. Can I reserve treatments before I get to BodyHoliday?
If there are any particular treatments that you would like to include in your schedule or any particular times of day that you would like to avoid when creating your schedule, you can let us know by emailing mybodyholidayconsultant@thebodyholiday.com or on fax# (758) 450 0368.
3. How far in advance should I book my spa treatments?
Feel free to book your spa treatments at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival.
4. How many treatments are included in my stay?
Your holiday entitles you to one treatment per day, excluding arrival and departure days.
5. Can I pay for extra treatments?
Your Wellness Centre schedule is very comprehensive and your list of treatments has been carefully selected to complement the fitness and nutritional aspects of your holiday. Should you wish to repeat a treatment or try any of the inclusive or holistic treatments on offer you we will be happy to include them in your wellness centre schedule at a supplementary charge.
6. Are the Wellness Centre therapists professionally trained?
Our own professional training team trains all of the Wellness Centre therapists. Our training team acquired their skills in France and Germany over a number of years. Periodically professional trainers from Europe and America are brought in to maintain the high standards of the Wellness Centre team. Masters from various disciplines such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Aerobics and other fitness pursuits visit The BodyHoliday every year to provide classes for our guests and whilst here, give invaluable training to the BodyGuide and BodyGuard team.
7. If I decide not to have my inclusive treatment, can I pass it on to someone else?
The daily inclusive treatments you are entitled to are for you only. If for whatever reason you decide not to have one of your treatments, you cannot pass it on to someone else.
8. Is the Wellness Centre always open?
Yes, our Wellness Centre is open all-year round expect on Christmas Day, December 25th.

Questions about Accommodation
From getting a room upgrade to the quality of the drinking water are just two of the many questions our guests ask with regard to BodyHoliday rooms….
1. Can I get a room upgrade?
Room upgrades at BodyHoliday are subject to availability. This is based on a per person per night basis. A nightly single supplement applies for upgrades from a single room to a double room plus the upgrade charge.
2. How safe is the drinking water in the rooms?
The drinking water at BodyHoliday is very safe. The water is regularly tested and it surpasses the Ministry of Health’s regulatory standards.
3. Do you have different type of pillows?
BodyHoliday not only provides both feather and foam pillows, but has an extensive Pillow Menu for you to choose from.
4. Is there a turn down service for every room?
Yes, all rooms are turned down in the evenings and provided with organic tea and cookies.
5. I have been to BodyHoliday before and would like to stay in the same room. Is this possible?
It is possible, but we cannot guarantee it. Reservations will do their best to assign the requested room based on availability.
6. Can I keep my room later than the regular checkout time if we have a late flight?
We would love you to be able to hold your room for as long as you want however we cannot on account of the large number of daily arrivals that we have to prepare for. Our regular checkout time is 12 noon, and we do request that you check out of your room by this time. You may request a late check out and wherever possible we will try to accommodate your request or provide a Courtesy room. In the event this is not possible, we request that you check out of you room at 12 noon, or the late penalty will be added to your room bill. Please be reminded that you have full use of all the facilities at the resort between your check out and your pick up.
7. If we check out of our room at 12:00 noon where are our bags stored until our departure?
Depending on your time of departure your luggage will be stored in our luggage room.
8. What is the cancellation policy?

A 3 night deposit on valid credit card is required at time of booking. Balance of booking will be charged 45 days prior to arrival. Cancellation Policy: (no penalty if cancelled at least 57 days prior to arrival date, unless stated otherwise) Cancellations fees as follows: 56 to 42 days: 25%; 41 to 28 days: 50%; 27 to 14 days: 75%;13 to 7 days: 90%; 6 to 0 days: 100%. The full booking amount is charged for no shows and early departures.
The above serves as the guest’s authorization for SunSwept Resorts to charge the credit card of the guest confirmed for the entire balance of the vacation according to the terms outlined here within.
Reservations will be processed in our local reservations office in St. Lucia.
Please review any possible international conversion fees which may apply to your credit card prior to booking with your credit/debit card company. The hotel will not be responsible for refunding such fees – as the hotel does not charge an international conversion/processing fee.
PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS UPDATE: Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons will be required to present a valid passport to enter (or re-enter) their countries.

Questions about the Resort
Here are the top questions asked about the property itself…
1. Do you have facilities for kids?
We have a minimum-age policy which is 16 years and over. The age limit drops to 12 years and over during the following periods: Easter break, Summer months and Christmas holidays.
2. Do you cater for handicapped persons or have handicap facilities?
The BodyHoliday is not totally wheelchair accessible. There are elevators, but in most areas here there are steps and ramps. Therefore, a handicapped person may find it difficult to get around comfortably in most areas. However, as a leading luxury Caribbean hotel we do our best to assist our handicapped clients on wheelchairs in getting around to specific areas of the resort.
3. What types of current or electrical outlets are used in St. Lucia?
British three-pin 220-volt outlets are standard on the island of St. Lucia. Most rooms are also equipped with American 110-volt outlets. If there is no 110-volt outlet in a room, transformers and/or adaptors may be obtained from the concierge. You are also welcome to bring along any adapters that you may need.
4. How close is the Hotel to the beach?
The BodyHoliday at LeSPORT is a beachfront property, meaning; you are only a few footsteps away from taking a dip in the Caribbean Sea.
5. Are newspapers available at the resort?
We do not carry any newspapers. However, there are public computers throughout the resort on which you can check the latest news updates.
6. Are there televisions in any of the rooms?
None of our guest rooms are equipped with televisions. We have found that this has been tremendously beneficial to our guests by enhancing the social life and the atmosphere of wellbeing. However so that guests can follow the important news and sports events from around the world, we do have a wide-screen television, located in the Clubhouse.
7. Is everything included in my BodyHoliday?
The bodyholiday is an All Inclusive Resort, most everything you could desire is included in the price of your vacation at this luxury Saint Lucian hotel in. As you will see, it includes, your accommodation, all your meals, drinks, your programme of body treats, fitness, relaxation, sports (including golf and scuba), master classes, BodyBalance, BodyScience and BodyAware programmes, professional instruction in all activities and sports, personal fitness trainer and dietitian. It is quite simply the best value of any all inclusive Caribbean luxury resort. For full details, please refer to the What’s included button. Telephones calls, laundry and boutique items are of course at an extra charge and there are also a few “extras”.
All supplements are clearly indicated, with no misleading small print.
Also, did we tell you that you also get a massage per day included?
8. Can I use my mobile/cell phone in St. Lucia?
Yes, if using the satellite systems with TDMA and GSM bandwidth. The Caribbean uses totally different frequencies from those in the US/ UK. Therefore, clients should check with their mobile/cellular phone provider at home before travelling to St. Lucia. On the island, you can also consult one of our three cell phone providers, Cable & Wireless, Digicel or Cingular Wireless.
9. Can we rent mobile/cellular phones in Saint Lucia?
Yes, Cable and Wireless (The local telecommunications company) will rent you mobile/cellular phones on both a long term and short-term basis for your Caribbean stay on St. Lucia. More information can be obtained from our concierge desk at the hotel.
10. Can I get a discounted rate as a repeat guest?
The BodyHoliday is renowned for the recognition it gives to the huge number of guests who return to this leading luxury caribbean resort time and time again. Over many years, The BodyHoliday has continued to upgrade its facilities, including BodyScience, investing in more and more diverse activities, and provide a vacation holiday experience that is equaled by no other. For these reasons it is not common practice for us to discount.

Money & Travel
Getting here is a big part of the experience and so we hope this page is useful…
1. Is transportation from the airport to the hotel included in the cost of my holiday?
Airport transfers are not included to BodyHoliday Saint Lucia. However, you can pre-arrange your transfer through your travel agent, or if you book directly with us, we will arrange your transfer and add it to the cost of your holiday. If you book through a Tour Operator, most companies will add the cost of your transfer to your holiday package.
2. Can you arrange an airport transport on my behalf?
Transfers to the luxury St. Lucia hotel can be prearranged at an extra cost of US$99.00 from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) one-way. From The George F.L. Charles Airport, transfers can be pre-arranged at the cost of US$45.00 per couple thereafter the cost is US$18.00 per person travelling together. . Travel time from the Hewanorra International Airport in the south of the island to the northern tip of the island, where the resort is located, is about one hour and twenty minutes. From the George F.L. Charles Airport, travel time is approximately twenty minutes depending on traffic.
3. Can helicopter transports be arranged to BodyHoliday Saint Lucia.
Helicopter transfers can be booked to and from the Hewanorra International Airport at a cost of US$175 per person each way. A minimum of 4 persons is required in order for the helicopter company to confirm the transfer . Then from Vigie Airport to BodyHoliday, the cost is US$45 by car/ taxi, (up to 2 people per car). Kindly note that St Lucia helicopters will not be in operation on December 25th, 2017.
4. Can group transport be arranged and the cost split?
Taxi drivers usually charge a flat rate for up to three persons and a per person rate thereafter.
Well, it does make the world go around and it is pretty important stuff, so here’s some guidelines with respect to the moula.
5. Where can I withdraw cash?
Here in St. Lucia, there are many ABM/ATMs located about ten minutes away from the hotel in the Rodney Bay area. You may get there using one of our readily available taxies. Please note, the taxi fare is payable directly to the driver. You may also exchange foreign currency and travelers checks at the concierge desk
6.What currency do you use on the island?
Eastern Caribbean, or EC Dollars as it is commonly called, is the local currency and is accepted everywhere on the island of Saint Lucia. US Dollars can also be used but exchange rates may vary from place to place.
7.What is the exchange rate for the US dollar?
EC$2.70 (correct as of 05/17)
8.What is the exchange rate for the £ (Pound Sterling)?
EC $3.46 (correct as of 05/17)
9.What credit cards do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards; Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Diners Club cards are not accepted.
10. Can we place our taxi fare on our room bill?
It is not possible to add taxi fares to your room but as the taxis are privately owned. Fares must be paid directly to the driver, except in the case of an airport transfer that was organized prior to your arrival/departure.
11. Can I pay for my BodyHoliday on arrival?
Our payment policy states that full payment for this all inclusive Caribbean resort is required 56 days prior to arrival. When the booking is made, we require a deposit of 3 nights’ accommodation.
